    Default Two FTR Members Make the PokerStars Big Game!!!!!

    Congrats to Courtiebee and Jared Huggins for both making the second season of the PokerStars.net Big Game. Courtney has been a community member and blogger on FTR for years while Jared recently started working for FTR. If you do not know his story it's a good one, hopefully he'll chime in so we can hear more about how his life has changed in the past year.

    For those who don't know what the "Big Game" is it's a TV show where one "amateur" is staked with $100,000 against five poker professionals. If after 150 hands he/she is up they get to walk away with their profits. The highest earning amateur (known as the loose cannon) each season also receives a WPT tournament package.

    In the past players like Daniel Negreanu, Doyle Brunson, Phil Laak, Phil Galfond, Jason Mercier, Scott "mastrblastr" Seiver, and Hoyt Corkins have participated on the show which airs late weeknights on FOX.

    should mention the structure is slightly diff. than a normal game to prevent this. Pre-flop is is POT-Limit while post-flop it is NO-Limit.

    Thanks for the congrats and GL, everyone. I played yesterday and had an amazing time! PokerStars does it right.

    I obviously signed an NDA and can't talk about it in detail until it airs. I will probably write about my experience in the next couple of days, though, and post it once it airs in a few months.

    I also had the chance to meet Jared yesterday and he's a great guy. I'm definitely rooting for him because I think he really deserves a big win.
