So last Friday the unthinkable happens. I spill coffee on my computer. I power down immediately and dry it off. I let it sit over night. The next morning I try to power it on. Nothing.
My options are: (1) send it to Dell which would cost me $270 up front just for them to look at it [it's out of warranty], (2) try to find someplace local to fix it, (3) get a new computer. I see what you mean about Dell support.
First things first, though. I have to figure a way to see if the harddrive is fried. I took it out and there seems to be no damage, but I have to test it. I shudder at the thought of losing all my files.
