I went in to work today because its the last weekend my chef is going to be at the restaurant. It was kinda fun working on a random day just for the fuck of it. well, i was wondering where the confidence came from. 12 teams in the playoffs, even if you pretend 2 teams have 0% chance at 4 other teams have half the chance of the real top 6 contenders, it's straight odds 8:1.

I think the colts have an excellent chance to make it to the afc championship game and lose to the Steelers, fwiw.

Since this looks like an *anything thread,We had one H-of a storm roll thru here last night,80 mph winds.There was 1 person killed when a roof blew of an hit them.Ive ben thru alotta storms in my 46yrs,but this one had me scared,my heart was pounding 1 hr after it went thru.Players in Oh,WV,KY,know how bad it was.

I'm in my freshman year of college. Quitting after this semester (for now) to go into the Marines. Gonna go active, TRY to learn pokers, if that don't work out, back to college. Hey Bode,

I'm not gonna get all pissed off because you think it's a bad decision. Hell, a lot own friends think it's a bad idea, but thats ok. It's really not that bad of a decision because I plan on going back to school after I'm done. Not everyone can have their parents pay for college for them, I'm one of those people. My family isn't poor, we're just not rich. I've had to work for everything I've ever had, and college isn't going to be any different.

Besides, I've pretty much wanted to enlist since I was a freshman in high school, but I didn't enlist straight out just for the simple fact that my parents wanted me to try out the college thing. But that hasn't worked out so well lol. I'm more than smart enough for the material, I just don't have the motivation to do it, if that makes sense?

The Marines on the other hand, dude, I'm STOKED to go. Like, I'm not happy if I go to war, but I accept the fact that I probably will go, and I'm ok with that. Nothing wrong with wanting to fight for your country. Hell, it's people like me that make it possible for people to hate on the military. Be thankful that there people willing to fight and die while others sit at home in peace.

Anyways, this is totally detracting from the 11-ness of this thread.

oh dat dranger... I'm actually highly debating on whether I want to attend OCS after I graduate (I have like 4 more semesters left) for the Marines or not. Been wanting to for a long time. However, now with poker and everything, I'm actually debating taking a year off after college (if I don't take a year off before I graduate ), and I'm not really sure how OCS could work into that (like if I could go after my year off or if I need to soon after graduation or not).

If you're curious about the whole OCS thing definitely go talk to a recruiter. Everyone is so afraid to go talk to one because they think they will get pressured, or that they won't leave you alone. Just tell him straight up, I'm not here to sign up right now, I just got some questions, and he/she should be more then happy to help.

I really don't think taking a year off will make a big deal, but I could be wrong so don't quote me on that. I was thinking about going the whole PLC/OCS route, but it's just not for me right now.

Good luck, whatever you decide to do though!

The only time I failed to get a ticket was in a parking lot at like 3am drunk off my ass driving to my friends condo. I'll take the 4 speeding tickets over a DUI any day.

i've been pulled over 4 times in the 11 years i've been driving, and all 4 said i had a good record and didn't want to be the first to give me a ticket. i generally drive really fast, and still haven't figured out how i'm such a luckbox.

I fled the police once because he was so far away when he wanted to get me and my house was literally like 3 or 4 blocks away (along with 3 quick turns, one of which was right after high railroad tracks so I figured he wouldn't see me turn after it if I was fast enough. Seemed +EV at time) when he saw me basically not stop at all at a stop sign (He was maybe like 3 blocks away from my current position). God my heart was pounding so hard. It was pretty crazy because I pull in my alley and park the car on the basketball court and jump my 2 fences in like 2 seconds and run in my house, then as I am looking out of my window through the blinds, the police searchlight thing flashes like straight in my eyes and I think he saw me. By this point I'm shitting my pants by how stupid I just was and run up and wake my brother up and ask him what the hell I should do. He is no help. I look out the upstairs window and am basically waiting for the doorbell to ring, it never does, and he drives away.

Was this move +EV, I'm still not sure.

I also got cuffed once in high school, but not taken to jail, because I was filming a music video for gangsters paradise (coolio) with my 3 friends for mass media class and someone called the cops on us and said we were playing around with real guns (they were fake). Well like a gazillion cop cars storm the parking lot we were in, all pull their guns on us and are ready to blow us away at any quick movement. Of course we do exactly everything they say and they cuff us all and then we explain what we were doing. They let us go like 20 minutes later with a lecture on what retards we were (which I agree with). That was pretty scary.

hahah ive been arrested for false robbery, im sure you guys all know the story. ive been detained for 20 minutes for crossing the street with a couple buddies with burritos in our hands (suspicion of robbery in the area). i've gotten 4 speeding tickets i think. watched the cops beat the crap out of some dude infront of a bar. filed a police report after being jumped and the cops did nothing. they've been pretty worthless in my life so far.....


*edit* o yea just remembered the time i got pulled over and was made run through 5 sobriety tests repeatedly under the barrage of are you sure you haven't been drinking tonite? this went on for 20 minutes before a volunteered to take a damn breathalyzer and they let me go.
