wow, that is absurd. My nephew was riding his bike up and down the block alone by the time he was 6 or 7. Someone was always around, but not necessarily directly supervising him. What this lady did may have been a little irresponsible, but felony charges? Taking the kids away? Jail time? She didn't fucking leave her kids home all day, chained to the radiator, while she frolicked around in seedy motels shooting meth and letting johns pork her for ten dollars a pop.
