Superbowl Squares 2016 (Grid Posted)
I'm hosting another Superbowl square league this year (here is last years). I'm late posting this and only have 28 left, so get 'em while they're hot!
This year it is $20 per square with 8 total prizes. Such excite.
To Play
1) Reply saying you're in and how many squares (if you don't say an amount you will default to 1 for $20).
2) Ship money via one of the below methods:
PayPal: [email protected] [NOTE: If you send money via Paypal, make sure you select "Send money to friends and family" to avoid fees, yo. This should be fee free for both of us.]
Venmo: [email protected]
3) Tell us you shipped the money, we will confirm and update the list.
NOTE: If I don't have your money in by Saturday night your squares will be forfeited.
Details and How to Win
Each square costs $20. To participate you must purchase a minimum of 1 for $20, and can purchase up to 10 for $200 (balla). This will make the total prize pool $2,000.
Once all 100 squares are purchased, the final list will be placed in random order. Your name will appear on this list for as many squares as you purchased.
Example
Pascal
givememyleg
givememyleg
a500lbgorilla
bigred
etc.
We will then use http://www.random.org/sequences/ to assign each name a number.
Example
81 Pascal
64 givememyleg
52 givememyleg
55 a500lbgorilla
43 bigred
etc.
This number will be your square on the grid.
The numbers along the x and y axis of the grid will also be randomly selected using http://www.random.org/sequences/ by SOMEONE OTHER THAN ME so yal don't think I'm cheating.
So we will end up with something like below:
(Note this is not the official grid)
So based on this example, the numbers we would have are
Example
Pascal: 1,3
givememyleg 2,2
givememyleg 5,4
a500lbgorilla 2,0
bigred 9,8
How to Win
There are now two ways to win every quarter! This means 8 total prizes will be given out.
Standard Numbers: The usual payouts, the last digit of each teams score at the end of a quarter. eg: Patriots 28, Seahawks 24, the winning square would be 8,4.
Added Numbers: The digits of the team score added together. eg: Patriots 28, Seahawks 24, the winning square would be 0,6 (2+8=10, 2+4=6, so 10,6). If scores are single digits, then standard numbers win. (like 7,7 or whatever).
The change was decided after tossing some ideas around and trying to create more winners and less dud squares.
If at the end of the first quarter the score is 21-3, the winning numbers would be:
Standard: 1,3.
Added: 3,3

Prizes
If your numbers match the ending number of each team, you will win
1st Quarter:$125 (12.50% of prize pool)
2nd Quarter: $250 (25%)
3rd Quarter: $125 (12.50%)
4th Quarter: $500 (50%)
Remember, there are two prizes of the above amounts given away each quarter.
Winners
If you win, we can discuss a method that is most convenient for you and the escrow. Since there may be shuffling issues (money spread across IRL and Paypal), it may take a few days after the Superbowl to receive your coin. You will be contacted via PM.
If We Don't Sell Out
Obviously the prize pool will be less depending on how many squares were sold. For example, let's say we sell 90 squares, that leaves 10 remaining, for a prize pool of $1,800. Prizes would then be divided using the same percentages as above.
The 10 squares that are leftover will be randomly given out in a lottery. However many squares you purchased is how many entries you will have in the lottery.
