Also, I don't like classifying Soundgard with like of Pixies and Nirvana, mainly because Soundgarden isn't very good and Pixies and Nrivana are two of the greatest bands of all time (for different reasons).

I guess it matter what you're looking for. It does taper off but I think that's done purposefully. What I like about the album is a sense of one long theme throughout the whole thing. It's a good experience. Downward spiral is also an amazing album though.
