I know one or two 40+ year old chronics who are basically burnt out losers. They think they're 'creative', but the fact is all they do is spout a constant stream of wacky ideas and never follow through on any of them. One of them is a self-professed writer but he never finishes anything. Another actually has a pretty good job repairing aircraft engines, but when you try to hold a conversation with him it becomes pretty obvious that he's not quite all there.
