Default running a case fan without a pc?

i'm considering building something, and i was curious if anyone knows the answer to this...

my project is going to require some basic cooling, and i'd like to use pc case fans since they're inexpensive and quiet, but this isn't inside a PC...

is there anyway to power these things without the use of a PC... something with a switch on it?

Most are 12V, it should say on the fan, definitley on a spec sheet when you buy it.

So you could use a battery (rehcarghcables for remote controlled cars are all 12V I believe). You could solder a switch on.

You could buy a 12V "wall wart"

Basically anything that gets you 12V DC would work.
