Yeah, she's probably not a writer for a living (particularly not travel), but it's still such a rare sight to see anything about Curacao on such a big media outlet as is the HuffPo.

I'm not sure I like the exposure though. I want it to remain hidden, not become another Aruba or another Dominican Republic. IMO, properties have to introduce a "foreigner" or "ex-pat tax", tripling or maybe even quadrupling the prices of property if you are a foreigner.

I finally discovered what YO GABBA GABBA is all about...I've seen it mentioned in threads before, definitely didn't understand it then......but now I do.

My son loves YO GABBA GABBA. Like, I mean, he LOVES THE SHIT out of that show.

Not sure what to think yet. I've showed him Baby Einstein (BE) videos before, but at his young age he doesn't give a fuck about anything except colors, puppets, cartoons, etc. So BE's show is awesome at times, but sucks at others when they show real world shit......but YO GABBA GABBA is like the most awesome parts of BE....all the freaking time...he loves it. Lots of music, puppets, and dancing, he even has rhythm most of the time while jumping in his jumper to the music. I'm happy it makes him happy, but goddamn, it sucks to have to sit through it. Guess I could be the guy that lets TV raise his kids, but that's not me.......

Not sure why I'm posting this---probably so other parents can feel my pain too.......or so some of you kiddos will prolong kids until you really, really, REALLY want them, like I did, and now I'm 31 and I'm living the dream watching YO GABBA GABBA twice a day. SCARY.


P.S. Yes I am living the dream. I am one of the lucky people that get summers off (yeah teaching!), so I get to hang with my kid all day.

I have only used 1 wallet my entire life. It was originally my grandpa's and my dad gave it to me when I was about 7 years old or so. It's leather, looks like a typical black wallet, and is still in excellent condition. I'm guessing it's about 30-40 years old.

I have probably 10 or so wallets in a box somewhere that were given to me as gifts over the years, but I'm hoping I never have to use them.

This is exactly what I thought about for years; ever since my first corporate finance class for sure. Maybe even since my first Macroeconomics class during the past ice age. Why do people in general not realize that this is simply impossible? But not only do people not realize that it is simply impossible to attain consistently without massive cheating, but people actually expect this to happen, and declare total failure, complete with jumping off boats, when it doesn't.
