not enough randomness:

I switched from earthlink dsl to comcast recently. I also switched from AT&T to the comcast vpoip service. The modem and phone box come integrated into one unit. The cool thing is that it has a battery to last 8 hours, that way youre not left without phone service during and outage. So since I have a laptop, even if the power goes out, Ill still have interwebs! I dont know why, but I just thought this was really cool.

everyone you used to party it up with on new year's eve is laying low. I mean, these are the people that used to get knockdown drag-out drunk (me included). not that I want to go out either (remember, I'm old), but it was pretty depressing meeting up with my buddies tonight for our Tuesday night poker game. nobody has shit going on tomorrow, and we're all good with that.

on a side note, I just finished hl2! Kinda is funny, I wasnt more than maybe two hours from the end when I stopped playing the first time. That game is awesome, however I think they dropped the ball on the story telling at the end. You gotta give some answers, even if you just keep opening up more questions... This just left me confused..

anyways, lost will end with so many unanswered questions and people will bitch, but really nobody should be so stupid as to not expect that. the show is very interesting at least on a superficial level, and it does what very very few other shows can do: kill off big characters and bring in new characters successfully, and its character development rivals hbo standards
