UG i actually try to text as much as possible instead of actually calling someone. I have an impossible time hearing people on my cell phone (lg en-v) so i naturally text heavily.

i also dread voice mail messages.

I like texting sometimes because I don't actually have to TALK to the person. Weird how I've flip-flopped on that, but it's so much easier now to text and keep doing what I'm doing, instead of dropping everything and having a conversation with someone that could drag on and on. That, and you can take your time with texting (usually), choose better words/emotions to convey, etc.

I'm a phone call screener to the max. If I don't recognize the number, sorry, it's going to voice mail. You want me to call back, you better leave one.

And actually, same goes for friends that call when I'm not around my phone or when I'm busy with something else. Leave a freaking message, tell me what's up so I know whether or not to call your ass back. Is it urgent, or were you just calling to shoot the shit? I'm not going to call your ass back and say, "Hey, what did you want?," only to hear you reply, "nothing really, just calling, now I'm busy." Or worse yet, I call you back and get YOUR voice mail, where I have to leave a message like, "Hey, you called me, didn't know what you wanted so I'm calling you back to see what it was," blah blah blah.

why did AT&T block img.4chan?

awhile ago AT&T declared war on the internet. It sees itself as some sort of broadsworded paladin defender of all that is good and right.

The problem is, upon further investigation, AT&T simply declared war on the "unlimited internet" thing. AT&T would like that, current subscribers all get some sort of ridiculous 2GB cap, while anybody who goes over this cap has to pay like logarithmic prices. It first started with a New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo declaring war on the whole a.b. hierarchy, and then saying its because there is child porn there. He was backed by AT&T (and AOL).That's like to destroy the empire state building because a single ant was seen in the basement.
And so there have been many transgressions by AT&T in what was previously thought of as being in the name of censorship, but instead its all in the name of greed. In the "pay more or we block your shit" kind of greed.


TLR; Its a long story, but its not in the name of general censorship but rather greed. This is just a thing to put a cap on the internet, to limit what's unlimited, and then charge more for what you are already receiving.

I'm pretty immune to television. I know how people try to get me to watch their channel, I tolerate most commericals and I know how to find good television programming.

But sometimes I can not believe what I see. Farmers insurance just ran a commerical trying to convince 20 year olds to get life insurance.
