    Default question for ipod touch/iphone users

    i just got a 16gb ipod touch through the FTP store and was wondering if i need to crack or "jailbreak" it before i can get all the cool FREE apps? i mean i know you can go through the itunes store and get free apps as well as paid apps, but for some reason i though i read/heard that you had to jailbreak these things and you could get a bunch of free apps or something.

    didnt work. my ipod is 2nd gen, and currently you can only jailbreak a 1st gen touch.

    Bump. Just bought a Touch... what are the best/fav apps (if there is already a thread on this... could you linky? I tried to search but failed.
    So you click their picture and then you get their money?
