PS3 or 360 ( Now the thread for fruits)

Some good posts here and, yes, exactly what you want it for does matter. But for me, in a nutshell it's this.....

more people have 360 since there are more games to play on there.

There are other plus/minus points of course but this is pretty crucial if you're buying a games console.
