And there's the problem with trying to categorize human behavior. Choosing one OR the other neglects the shades of gray that everyone inevitably falls in between the two ends of the spectrum.
Psychologists are aware of this, but they're also aware that it's harder to come up with more nuanced tests they can just throw at people so here we are, with a fairly popular personality test that tries to lump everyone into one of 16 different categories based on only 4 factors.
It's not a bad early crack at personality categorization I suppose, but I imagine psychologists of the future will laugh at the simplicity of this approach.
