this reply is aimed towards elipsesjeff and his comment on my statemement: "incorrect opinions in my belief but thats your choice". It didn't mean you can't disagree and argue with opinions you belive to be wrong. I was trying to make the point (obviously unsuccesfully!) that most people develop their opinions from personal circumstances and its very difficult to convince them to change their opinions as they are ingraned in them - myself included. Your opinion that Bush deserves to re-elected is ludicrous in my opinon because he's a war monger - one reason only that is good enough to get rid of him - in my opinion.
as for the media control in America - if you think that the owner of a company has no control over its output then I'm afraid your wrong. A media company owned by conservatives will produce conservative bias in their reports and if all the staff are liberals then their work will either be screened or they will be replaced. It wouldn't make good business sense to allow the liberals to critisize conservative policies and I'm sure these conglomorates agree.
