Yao Ming and Yi Jilanin are playing for China, Dirk Nowitzki is playing for Germany, Manu Ginobli is playing for Argentina, etc. In basketball most foreign NBA players are playing for their country. It's not like we're sending Kobe out there to win this over a bunch of amateurs.
Yeah, fair enough. I wasn't specifically having a pop at the USA team or basketball it was just the first example that popped into my head. Well, second after Ronaldinho I guess.
