It doesn't work for everything, but on some things, it's rock solid.

But there ought to be a way to catch them if that's what happened. They can also have recounts so that's another check on the system. Not foolproof, but obviously you can't just call an election you lose rigged without evidence.

I definitely agree with this. Trump has lost unless he proves fraud beyond doubt. The onus is on him to prove the election result has been influenced by fraud. Minor examples won't cut it, and nor will witnesses.
