The joke was that I did online research to see if "the internet agrees" is indication of "being right," and that the internet agrees that if the internet agrees, it means they're right.
Now that I've explained it, you may lol at your leisure, secure in the funniness of the joke I told being truly funny, and not just amusing in a ridiculously nerdy kind of way.
