I don't think you realize just how much Americans like guns. Sure, we don't all have semi-automatic rifles, but plenty do.
Actually, you may have me on the semi-autos. If you're talking pistols, though... it's hard to guess a good number, but I'd wager over 10% of people on the street in StL carry a pistol at least some of the time.

According to a 2015 study by the National Firearms Survey, 9 million Americans carry a handgun on their person in public at least once a month. That's less than 3%. The study did say the majority of people who answered affirmative to that question were middle-aged, white, conservative men living in the south.


Still... 10k feels low.
