Why would US businesses prefer employment of people from war-torn countries? What would be your thought process as a US HR person recruiting dentists?
My thought process?
- Is the applicant qualified?
- Is the applicant a USA citizen?
- Can the applicant speak English?
- Does he have a criminal record?
I do not care about the answers to the following question...
- What colour is the applicant's skin?
- Where was the applicant born?
- What is the applicant's religion?
- Does the applicant identify as a pansexual potato?
What I said is that when 2 people with identical qualifications are treated differently based on where they're coming from or what they look like, it's a problem.
Well yes that's a problem, but for the most part, it's happening inside of your head. And for those who are making decision based on these criteria... the law does not permit such action, so it is not institutional racism, it is the racist policy of an individual company and they are breaking the law.
So because Obama and Oprah aren't oppressed, the blacks should all just stfu?
This is what you guys call ad bananium or some shit.
