I was so depressed about the Canucks the entire day on Tuesday I'd prematurely cancelled work and a birthday dinner that was supposed to happen on Thursday too, lol.

The Carolina/Boston overtime was awesome. Boston losing destroyed my playoff pool though. I had predicted a Detroit vs Chicago Western final, at least, so I still have players there!

Altough I look forward to a Wings- Pens rematch. Not sure if it feels like great series.

Not really a rivalry that gets my blood pounding (Like Detroit and chicago...Hate them). Kind of a been there done that. I know pens fans prolly think different, and we still need to win another game anyway.

Just before our late period 1 penalty (which lead to a goal) i think we looked like the better team for about :25 seconds. After that, we were all over them old geezers.

Watching these games sober is a lot more unerring than when sufficiently socially lubricated.

Game 2 obsevations.

Refs let a lot go both ways. At first I was thinking biasly, and thought they weren't calling several things I saw. But it went both ways.

It was definately clear to me that maybe the Wings should be called "The Big Red Machine". No matter what line, or who has the puck, they make it look too easy at times.

pens seemed to get a lot of rushes going that just never materialized into anything.

After all the years here, I think Osgood is playing at maybe his highest level ever. Never thought I'd say that he's been a real difference maker in tons of games during these playoffs.

No problem with malkin going after Zetterberg at the end. too bad he didn't have the sack to do it earlier, but he knows he had to be on the ice. So that's smart of him.

But leading at Hank with the stick up around is head is, not going to say punk, but definately bush league. For goodness sake! Don't lead with your stick up high. Payback for that can be huge.

pens should come out gangbusters in game 3, but if they get behind, they could be cooked.

Well when you have Sedin, Sedin, and Sundin on your team, it becomes an issue when he's pronouncing "Sedin" as "Sundin"

the refs called an excellent game, I wasnt complaining just musing that they could have still called an excellent game and it have been more in our favor.

My acute penguins memory is just constantly remembering the slash that lead to the second goal and the no call on the penalty shot when the puck landed on osgoods back.

The games are frustrating because we've been in opportunities 3 or 4 times already where I cant believe we dont score and the red wings have had 3 or 4 goals already where they got "luckier bounces"

It's not fun when their team rocks and gets help from the hockey gods.

Also malkin fighting at the end was the best because i wanted him to break zetterberg.

What I saw was a good game. (missed 1st)

The pens played a Wings type game a lot. Blocking a lot of shots and passes and generally disrupting the rythm of the play. I was especially impressed with what I saw of the pens forchecking. Thought they did that about as well as you can, and I'm sure that's a part of why the Wings rushes were ofetn broken.

Game 7 should be another great one.
