For poker, I use laptops hooked to external monitor. I have a dedicated fileserver on S3 standby on my home lan, on which I store all sorts of shit, and have different servers (such as Version Cue, Apache etc.) running. Naturally, HHs fall under that category.
just remember halv: the bigger the SSD, the longer it will last. You can then reuse it on your older computers when the time comes.
For a poker only computer, 32GB is more than enough, just refrain from using "scratch disk", try and keep everything in ram (4GB, 8GB setups) all the time.
