    Default Monitor:

I thought I would just ask this out of the blue.

What kind of monitor do you play poker with. I have a 17inch CRT flat screen thinking of getting a flat panel LCD screen.

How many poker games can you fit into a screen and if you have a program running as well such as Tx Calc.

    Thanks

    himself fucker.
I don't have a monitor. A high intensity beam of light is shot directly into my brain, allowing me to comprehend nearly 3600 tables at once. Of course using my computer more than 17 milliseconds a day leaves permenant brain damage.

I use a laptop: Screens overlap so i don't play many out once. It's dimensions are unknown to me.

    21 CRT.

    1600x1200 4 tables no overlap.

Prior to this it was a 17" @ 1024/768 and only 2 tables max (with over lap)

I use a 19" flat screen @1600 x 1200, with 4 tabels there is no overlap. The tables take up about 99% of the screen though. I have a small sliver where I can see a single line of PT stats, to be sure that it is updating.

I am getting another video card to hook up my old 15" monitor. Maybe PT will go over there, or maybe table #5 and #6 if two can fit. We'll see.
Is that guy still part of the forum??

I use a 20'' monitor used in most businesses (bought mine resale), nothing too special, not flat, extra heavy, the works.

I am able to play 4 tables at once 1024x768 (I like to be able to see my screen) with a lot of overlap with Poker Stars. I also have a wireless keyboard and mouse that if i want i turn the monitor and play on the couch, bed, or whereever and having a larger screen helps with that. Especially useful for long boring tournaments when you dont have a comfy chair.

However, you are still able to see your hole cards every round. 3 tables really work well and I dont have to constantly move and act frantically because of the overlapping.

There's a Dell monitor that is highly recommended:

I don't use it but it's an LCD flat panel with up to 1600x1200 resolution.

I have a 19" CRT at 1360 X 768. There is overlap running 2 PS or PTY screens, but it's not too bad. I may try 1600 X 1200, but I just switched it and that is really friggin small on a 19. Don't know if my wife will go for that.

Wish more of the online poker rooms had mini mode like the Prima skins do. Gus Hansen's new poker site PokerChamps.com has a 4X4 mode that has 4 games all on the same screen. It's still in beta. No this is not a plug.

    Wish I could get a 24...

    2 × SAMSUNG 17inch CRT's running at 1024×768

I run two games on each with slight overlap.

Or 1 game on each with Tx Calc and no overlap.

IMHO Dual monitors is the way to go if you can afford it.

Shipping on a monitor is expensive, you might want to re-consider. Unless you have some hookup for shipping

    Mike,

I work in a warehouse, if I get the price I am asking ill take the shipping part full front. If someone offers me a little under I may charge a little but not a lot. So in your case yes I have the hookup. Anything over ground shipping I will charge more for the shipping. (I cant gype the company to much of there money )

Too bad you just missed a $45 coupon (http://www.slickdeals.net./category/topdeals/#p5268).

If you don't mind a 52 pound CRT, here's a good one that will do 1600x1200 or even 2048x1536 :
