My best guess now is neither of them are guilty. They couldn't get Avery to admit to anything so they planted evidence. They wanted the Dassey kid to implicate Avery, and once they got the Dassey kid to 'confess' they thought they didn't need any more evidence after that. That's why none of the kid's DNA turns up anywhere, but Avery's does. |
