Haven't used IRC for about 10 years.
So seeing this decided to give it another go.
Discovered that a separate client isn't even necessary, at least not with Opera as it has an inbuilt IRC client that actually works well.
Everyone in FlopTurnRiver had been idle for 100s of hours.
So headed off to the AllNiteCafe on DalNet, It wasn't like I remembered it so I'll not be back there again.
But thanks for the memories.

I'll be sitting in the IRC chat channel most of today if people want to come by and check it out. There's a short video in my signature that shows how to get connected using the mIRC program. We had about 8-10 players yesterday.

I had the same problem, eventually got in by connecting directly to my local server.

FTRbot allows you to do a few useful functions.

1. If you send a PM to FTRbot that just says "hands" without the quotes, then it will send you a PM including the past 5 hand history URLs that have been posted in the channel along with a timestamp and who posted it.

2. You can use the ecalc command in the #flopturnriver channel to get range vs range equities. It uses the syntax for ranges from http://www.propokertools.com/simulations and also pulls the results from there. You can only do two ranges and a board. Here are some examples:
