*BUMP*

Here's one of my favorite ones, that I happened to hear recently:

Under the assumption that one must either not sin, or confess and ask forgiveness from Jesus Christ in order to get into heaven, there seems to be an overriding belief that infants who are killed before they are able to understand and comprehend this are given a free pass to heaven. (actually, there's a whole lotta shit rolled up into this one, but let's focus on the overriding point).

I like this one because it has some rather interesting implications. Let's say that any child three or younger that is killed is sent to heaven for an eternal, blissful afterlife, no questions asked. Let's just use a one year old for this example.

If the above were true, wouldn't a parent murdering their child before the threshold age be the ultimate act of selflessness and honor? They are guarenteeing eternal heaven for their child, despite what the ramifications are toward them.

Or, will the all-knowing-and-powerful lord punish the child due to his or her parent's cleverness and wittiness?

Hmmm..
