    The problem is that the referees are so gullible and there is no retrospective punishment, so it will always continue. It's one of the reasons I now watch semi-pro football a lot more than pro.

    It was better when you could nearly kill somebody and win the goal kick (incident 15-20 secs in, best replay angle just over 2 mins in):

    Depends if you mean football or futbol (sorry this is Murica). I loved futbol as a kid. It's one of the funnest sports to play

    The dives by its professionals are a great shame that I think far surpasses the bullshit from other sports. It saddens me to see the honor of sport competition stripped away. Even children understand that when you fake injury, the only thing you're doing is bringing shame upon yourself and those around you. I'm honestly a little surprised that the supposedly most rabid fans in the world haven't lynched one of these cunts yet

    The first soccer game I ever went to watch live turned out to be a 0-0 "friendly match" here in Mexico City between Cruz Azul and Chivas. I've been a non-fan ever since but one of my 10-year old twins is in love with the game so I try to share his enthusiasm as much as I can.

    Seems like a damned irrational reason to start a civilization from scratch. People believing in resorting to nuclear annihilation because of an unmanly way that a popular sport is played seems like a better justification.
