I was informed by a redbull representative (who was a 20 something, not so smart, female) that redbull was designed so you didn't crash. Since I don't drink redbull I never researched this. Can you confirm/deny?

One 8oz red bull has 80 mg of caffeine (that's close to the caffeine content in one strong cup of coffee). Regardless of whatever else they put in there that might cause a crash, the caffeine content alone can cause a crash (and you can't add in anything to "cancel out" the caffeine crash).

Why would you want to do this?

Frankly its this:
A) My girlfriend took a small road trip for the weekend with some friends. If I want to play poker, now is the time to play as much as possible.
B) I have literally absolutely nothing else to do. My Xbox and drums are locked up inside my girlfriends room. At my place I have a computer, a TV, and a few guitars. The guitars really are the only thing that might draw me away.
C) I have not played a single hand of poker this week
D) Nothing better to do.

But now this party might get in the way. Either way, I *will* do 24 hours of poker this weekend. Might not be in one sitting, but it will be done.

Taurine can do whatever it wants but the caffeine will be a comedown. One of my new years resolutions was getting off the stuff. I literally had two a day if not more. There are big comedowns.

Shortstory: I'm 13 hours in, and 8.5 buyins down.

Long story: I started the day with a 10 buyin drop in 400 hands. Which isn't really fair, because absolute lets you buyin 200bb deep and so the yuckyness hurts more. I took a set over set and a missed OESFD+2OC which is half of my losses. The others were just cold-deckage.

Since then, I've been 100% breakeven. Little variance between 8 and 10 buyins but I havent set foot outside that range. Standard practice seems to be I grind up a buyin, then run bad against shortstacks and give it back

I expected some variance, though. My last session I had a +10 buyin swing that was purely card rush and now I'm paying for it with some shit luck and a breakeven stretch. Pretty standard.

I'm still pretty awake, though I did drop from 6 tables to 4 after dinner. The overlap was starting to bother me, so I'm getting hands even slower but w/e. I need another 2001FP.

Freaked out for a little bit, PT wasnt showing new hands. I was winning but my dollar amount wasnt changing. I figured out it was PT's belief that we'd started a new day. Maybe I am a little tired.

So ok, how do I feel. I'm fully alert. Not really very tired. Lying down doesnt appeal to me ... mostly I'm just kinda bored. My arms feel, I really dont know how to describe it. Little shaky I guess. Everyones been surprised that my eyes don't hurt. They feel fine. Might be the nice monitor.

I'd be far happier if I was +$ though. With RB I'll probably break even. I've pretty much done a weeks worth of play. I'm at 7.5k hands. NL is slow.

I feel a little jittery. I notice I'm drumming my teeth (its a habit of mine... not really grinding, but just kinda bouncing them around.) I grind my teeth when I'm drunk. Thought you should know.

My butt is kinda tired. I've been sitting in some really awkward positions just to try and move around a bit.

The tables are impressively good. There arent many running, but they all have hyper aggressive morons on them who are fairly easy to stack if you can catch a hand. Unfortunately thats been a problem of mine all day.

Theres a 93/38 over 92 hands at my table. He's cleaning the place out, and is now 400bb deep. Ive been in one pot with him, he bluffed me out with a river push on a QJT board where I had QJ. He showed Q5. It was a pretty big pot. Im kinda mad for not calling.

(combine the two, and it looks like if you can break even playing poker the absolute bonus + RB at 25NL is about 2ptbb/100. Good to know)

What'd I do well
I went in with the best of it -- or atleast not the worst of it -- almost every time. No real horrible errors on my part. Lost KK to AA once and lost two set over sets but none of that is really my fault. I didnt win enough coinflips against the shorties, I really got shafted on them overall, but thats poker.

Whatd I do poorly
I still try and push people around a bit much. But theyre so weak. Things like, theyll bet $3 on the flop $1 on the turn and $0.25 on the river. But then if I make a move they inevitably call the reraise because theyre simply incapable of folding. I probably coulda saved myself a buyin or two there. Oh, I might have gone a bit over-agro with my OESFDs. Looking back at them if I had just check/called until I hit I woulda saved a bunch of money. Then again I dont really mind getting it all in there either. Guess longterm its probably better to just get it in. Sure sucks when you miss that deep, though.

I need to work on my play when I flop a good draw out of position in an unraised pot. Its very common on these tables for there to be 3 limpers, I check in the BB and flop an OESD. I dont think I'm playing these properly. Often times I'm betting out, wiffing the turn and checking it.

Well, again, the session before this one I won 10 buyins in a supershort (think it was like under 500 hands) period. So dropping 4 isnt a bigdeal, and its really only a 7k breakeven stretch which isn't much. Poker doesnt care about the hours, just the hands.

Rakeback numbers finally came in -- made about $45 in RB through the session. Combine with my $40 in bonus clearing, and I pretty much broke even. No complaints.
