I loved it because it showed cersei more like she was in season one...coniving and reckless.

But I feel that this season didn't lay the foundation for her blowing it all up. She had a few "I choose violence" moments, but those seemed more like defiance than actually a scheming part of a plan. Maybe that's because if she looked like she was scheming it wouldn't work? Idk. A scene showing the audience that she was holding all the cards earlier would satisfy me.
