How was Legend of the Seeker?

I've been contemplating picking up some fiction, recently. I don't think I've read any fantasy, except for a pretty cool version of young King Arthur/Merlin (the actual title/author escapes me) when I was pretty young. Keep in mind, I really disliked the bit of Tolkien I've read. And I'm not sure if it helps, but my favorite author (not that I'm very well read) is Orwell, and the the most recent fiction I've read is Edward Abbey's The Monkey Wrench Gang, which I thought was fantastic. So any suggestions would be appreciated.

I really enjoyed that show. But I have to place it into context, I'm a big fan of the fantasy genre, and there are very few TV shows in this genre, so it was refreshing to watch. Unlike GoT it doesn't have mass appeal though, and was canned after 2 seasons. If you like fantasy, you should give it a watch though. Just don't read the books first or you'll be endlessly annoyed by all the changes they made.

Oh, I thought you were talking about the books. I'm kinda tempted to read some fantasy books. I don't really want any more TV shows right now. Deanglow is already forcing Luther on me.

In that case. Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind. Very good books.
