It's offensive to people with learning diffculties. Not that I have a problem with the word "retard", it's just that to assume it's less offensive than "mong" or "spaz" is stupid.

Well I'd say you're being disingenuous if you argue calling someone a mong is racist. Just because the word's origin is racist, doesn't automatically mean its usage is racist.
