Because the muscles are not the biggest calorie burners and have less to do with metabolism and fat burning than you think, particularly when used in an aerobic zone where you are running on predominantly oxygen.

This is wrong on so many levels and why so many people are fat now following guidelines that have been wrong for decades. Fat is not the enemy, starches are. More protein, eat when hungry, timing and amount of meals means nothing
