    Default A fake in vegas

Going to stay at the Wynn this summer for a few days with my rents, I have my cousins ID who is now in boot camp and is 21.

Is this dangerous? I've used a fake to gamble before but not in vegas... I'd feel like such a pussy if I didn't get to play some 1/2 Live down there.

    Thanks for the advice.

they don't (rarely) card in poker rooms

it's no problem. i look 18 (maybe younger) and was carder a whole one time in a vegas casino after 4 visits, at a roulette table. never been carded in a poker room.
  11. #11
Depends on the casino! I live in Vegas... Ive been carded for soda at some casinos, and never carded at others. You may not be carded at the poker room; however, you may be carded at the cash cage. If this happens the casino can take all your chips.

thanks guys. I'm hoping that even if they did card me I'd be alright but sounds like I shouldn't have to much trouble. I'll be sure to post a trip report late June

I saw one guy get carded at Mandalay bay. Also once I was carded ordering a drink at the table by the waitress at the Venetian

If you play at locals casino The Cannery you will be carded 100% of the time. They have had 2 issues of being caught with underage people in the casino... so after a few fines and employees fired, they card like maniacs.

yea, the more recent times i started going to vegas [after i had turned 21] waitresses had started carding when ordering drinks, but thats about it. before that i was almost never carded except at clubs. if you are using it and actually look like him, it will be fine. if you do get caught you will almost definitely get in a lot of shit though, its just fairly unlikely that it will happen

I get carded all the MFing time at casinos in Vegas. And they are more apt to just take your fake than say your local watering hole.

I say it's not worth the risk, esp considering that good fakes cost several hundred dollars.

It depends on how young you look. Some people naturally look of age while others don't.

I'm sure the cops could take that into consideration haha. More of a joke than anything, but there's always a chance you'll run into that new employee who's still in the 'I gotta do my job perfectly' phase and card the shit out of you.

    Good luck though.

@JoeHaw- Are you going to be renting a car or getting around mostly by bus and taxis while here?

I can suggest a few places to eat and things to see if you are going to have time. Or maybe you will spend 20hrs a day at the tables for the entire trip (like I did at the craps table my first trip to Las Vegas)
  29. #29
Hmm well I'm only gonna be there three days. Going with my parents who are seeing Garth Brooks play- But im definitely open for suggestions!

I am going to suggest a few local places for food, but they will probably be wayy to far for you if you are South on the strip.
    Food:
Juke Joint (Craig & Lamb) has an awesome breakfast deal $1.99 for a choice of a few different meals from 6am-10am during the week or midnight-10am on the weekend.

BigHorn (Belmont & Lake Mead) has 4 different 24hr deals including $4.99 steak dinner or breakfast
    Cheap things to do:
Red Rock scenic drive.. its a good 20-30 min drive to get there, but there is a nice 13 mile scenic drive that has some nice trails and sights if you happen to have a ride and a few hours to kill.

good luck and all, but I reread this thread and was wondering - is the picture of your cousin on the ID faded at all, or is it clear as a bell? it's going to suck if you only somewhat resemble the guy on the card etc

    anyhow gl gl

I get carded all the time. Do they really need to be so strict? It's only a friggin' seniors discount.

Stayed at Wynn- no problem playing slots or anything without a dealer. Got carded playing blackjack there and took the pit boss or whatever like 20 sec before giving it back to me. Also asked for ID at Wynn card room.

Not carded at treasure island card room or Harrahs room. Lost a buy in at the 1/3 at TI and like 40 dollars at the 1/2 at Harrahs. That being said, I suck as it is and also got unlucky. I can see how those games can be ultra profitable especially during a time when the wsop isn't going on.

Down ~400 on the trip which is pretty brutal for an 18 year old going to college but I have no regrets I had a blast. Saw David copperfield at MGM and Garth Brooks at the Wynn and both were excellent shows. Lots of hot babes on the strip

    garth brooks? for srs?

and am I meant to infer that the games are less soft during the wsop? Do you smoke crack?

Hey cut the dude some slack on the GB...he said he was traveling with family who were going there primarily for that concert...

Still surprised you went for it with the fake id and still played so badly... I figured that would get you more shit than the GB concert...

18 going to college, boost, he doesn't know his head from his ass yet
