    Oh, wait, this is embarrassing: You really wanted clarification and I actually am equipped to clarify.. ha..

    Yeah, seg is what it sounds like. The bubble is almost certainly a guard house-- possibly one that sits in the center of a cylindrical cell block so that they have a clear view of all cells and walk ways at all times.

    *this is all from watching TV, movies, and maybe a bit from knowing a person or two who has been. I myself have never been on such a vacation.

    BTW, while I was touring wedding venues last weekend, I walked into a Gospel Prom for Parents with Incarcerated Youth. I had to humbly admit that I did not previously know that GPFPWICs were a thing. I hope this information can save you from an equally embarrassing moment.

    After years of honing strategy I now sit, wipe, then stand while still wiping asshole so ass closes into the TP, then complete the wipe standing, turn, look at handiwork, discard, and continue the wipes standing.

    Optimal for looking at scale of shit, not spreading shit on asscheeks, and through being standing having enough room to manoevre when wiping.

    I've put a lot of thought into this the last 4 years since I first came across this thread.

    I'm a stander, always have been, but when I found out that most people stand, I gave sitting a try. Rationally and empirically, I think that sitting makes more sense, yet I find myself over and over and over and over again impelled to stand. I don't mean that I autopilot into standing, mind you; I mean that as much as I tell myself that it makes more sense to sit, I'm impelled to stand. I never really could understand why this was.

    I think I've finally started to understand: I can't not look at my poop after I go. I seriously just cannot bring myself to do it unless I really need to (eg: public bathroom with an automatic flusher that goes off if I move any more than 2cm). I don't mean this in some juvenile "tehe, poop is funny" sort of way, either. When I shit, I *have* to see how big it is, its consistency, its shape, color, representative chunks, etc.
