MY point:

No person would willingly die for something they knew to be a lie. All these apostles end up dead (killed) because they wont deny the resurrection. So did they believe or even know that the resurrection was fact?

The difference is in thinking that what people know trumps what they feel. Humans feel all kinds of things all kinds of times, and what we "know" has very little to do with them

Also, I'm not sure Josephus or Luke are good reference points for historical data. I don't "know" know this, but the fact that the religious loony circles I've been involved with like Josephus doesn't bode well for the guy. As a rule of thumb, when people who don't use the most basic and important of logics for beliefs (religionists), they're pretty much always wrong with any source they think is legit. This is because they will come up with that source by using their same retard logic that keeps their religion going in the first place

Just like five minutes of research tells me that Josephus writing about Jesus is highly contested and likely not true

i don't get what about cash's version makes everyone like it more than the original. i think it's awesome that a legend covered one of my favorite songs, but the original still gives me the hibbitties like ten times as worse.

I love me some NIN but Cash's version is just so gritty and full of pain you feel in your bones. Cash's version is a country-blues dirge about life's regrets and losing the love of his life whereas Reznor is just an introspective, angst-ridden young guy from Ohio.
