    Default cigar lovers?

Had a cigar yesterday for my birthday (and two days before that and a week before that) and was thinking "this is something I could get used to." Any cigar aficionados here? Also if anybody has suggestions for relatively inexpensive but good cigars, please post away.

I was never an aficionado but I used to really like Romeo y Julietas. I haven't smoked cigars in years though so I have no clue if they were actually good compared to what else is out there.

Yeah, the Romeo y Julietas are a good smoke. The montichristo platinum is pretty decent. If you prefer a stronger flavor then try the Trinidad Maduro, a bit pricey but worth it.

Nice bump. Now I feel like a cigar with a glass of whisky.

for any cigars, buy them from cigarsinternational.com, they will be way way cheaper than locally. if you want boxes, check cigarbid.com first

If you know what you want, then the internet is great. If you have a humidor to keep them, that is.

If you're trying to figure out what you like, there is nothing like going to a tobacconist shop and talking to the curator. Cigars can be as complicated as fine wine... and sometimes talking to someone who knows will help you figure out what you should try.

There is something to be said for buying a single cigar and taking straight home to smoke it.

I no longer enjoy cigars, but mostly because I can't wait that long between cigarette breaks.

i was given once a Cuban cigar Partagas for my birthday, in fancy alluminum case. The first draw almost killed me, it was much more powerful than cigarettes, lol

Dude, you're not suppose to inhale cigar smoke. It's more like incense that you puff on to keep it going.

Also, if it wasn't purchased that day, or kept in a humidor between the time it was purchased and the time it was given to you, then it was a bad cigar.

Cigars do not keep outside of humidors, unless you live in a tropical climate, even for a day or two.

I have never smoked so cant really offer an opinion on smoking cigars. However I can say while I dislike cigarette smoke I do find the smell of cigars very pleasant.
