I got Divinity: Dragon Commander a while ago pretty much because of this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vejayAkO9PM
Obligatory: RIP Totalbiscuit :'(
The writing is great. I imagine the same goes for other Divinity titles. The RTS part hurt my pride. I'd like to think of myself as being pretty good at RTS but I couldn't get behind it.

I'm pretty excited for Rage2. I didn't play Rage because it looked too much like an awesome concept with game mechanics decided on by a committee. From the trailers it looks like they have learned their lesson from Doom.

There are probably zero Dota2 players here. I got back into it because battlepass matchmaking is always way superior to regular matchmaking, and it's battlepass time again. I like what they did. They sped the game up a fair bit, created more points of contention and just generally encourage fighting more over passive farming and it's probably the best it's ever been. Of course, the learning curve is not as much of a curve as it is a brick wall, so I'm hesitant in recommending it unless you have friends who play and you want to stress test your relationship.
