Any of you who consider yourself a gamer simply MUST play Undertale.

It's 8-bit graphics. It starts out slow... almost tedious... but witty in an endearing way. OMG, though... I feel like they directed all that effort that could have gone into graphics straight into awesome gameplay. The characters are actually developed. There are multiple story lines, depending on the level of killing you perform while you play. The story modes are drastically different, and the development of the characters is interwoven into these alternate story lines.

In the late game, one of the bosses shatters the 4th wall in a way that developers are usually either too timid to approach or too ineffective at doing it without destroying immersion.

Man... every time I feel like, "OK, I've played it. This is what it is." it floors me with a plot twist or development which seems so out of character for the 8-bit look of the game. It's like they are playing on the simple 8-bit look to repeatedly tag you with a well-developed story and clever gameplay.

Play this game.

Then play it again, but don't kill anything. Stay LV 0 throughout the entire game. Dodge every boss's attack and spare them all.
You won't be sorry.
