Hey there MTC.
I didn't... I was never one of the better players in fighting games (I used to stand in line for an hour just to get stomped in 1 minute back when the original MK1 was popular). Instead, I decided to wait and get The Witcher 3.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
This was my first-ever "pre order" purchase of a video game and also my first experience with any Witcher game.
If you're a fan of "open world" RPGs, then The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a must-buy imo. It definitely has its issues, but there is SO MUCH content in this game.
PROS
* Large Map (larger than Skyrim)
* Fleshed-out Quests (Main Quests and Side Quests are well done, with LOTS of cinematics
* Fun Gameplay (For the most part, the Quests aren't repetitive and the gameplay is overall entertaining
* Lots of Loot
* Great Story
* 100+ hours of Single Player gameplay (if you do everything it will be around 200 hours in a single playthrough)
CONS
Movement: It's not that easy to get around in The Witcher 3, not even when you're walking/running/looting/riding horseback
Glitches: Plenty of visual mishaps (think Skyrim). It's understandable for as big as the game is
No Multiplayer: If you buy games because of their MP experience, The Witcher 3 doesn't have one
Small Text: If you're playing this game on a small, non-HD TV or a tiny laptop screen, you'll likely have issues reading some of the text because it's so small
Framerate Drops: It does not run at a stable 30 FPS on PS4/XBONE
OVERALL
Despite some of its issues, The Witcher 3 is a sure candidate for 2015 Game of the Year. I'm having a hard time putting it down.
