I think this game got brought up at one other point, but I feel like it was so flipping epic in story. Battles got extremely monotonous, but there was nothing like the thrill of getting a new attack and i liked how you could pace beating the shit out of your enemies. I also feel like this was a game my buddy had in college and I can't recall (except for one or two times) it being mentioned by anyone as being an epic game. FF is practically part of common culture and I find it odd that Xenogears, at least from what I've seen, is so obscure by comparison.
