Why do you need to turn to your poker bankroll to pay the bills? This sounds more like a real-life money management problem than a bankroll management problem.

Iunno what these guys are talking about, the situation you described sounds pretty perfect.

You don't have enough money to pay your bills. You deposit some money, triple it up and then pay your bills with it, returning your bankroll to zero. Lights stay on.


(In seriousness, the gamblers anonymous link might not be a bad thing to read through. Also, most (I think) poker sites have an option to lock your account for a set period of time so you can't play - start to pay attention to how/when the stress builds up that tricks you into gambling, and when you feel it coming on but before it's got its hands around your throat lock yourself out for a while)

I calculate what size of tours I want to be able to play, and keep enough money in my bankroll all the time to be able to do that. Meaning, that I only withdraw what is above that amount. Hope this make sense

All poker sites should have the ability to lock your account as part of their license as far as I know. You should also be able to email them and tell them you have a gambling problem and ask to be banned for 10 years and they have to lock it or you have a claim against them.

Sounds like you have a gambling problem not a bankroll problem as others have said and your problem isn't that you can't manage your bankroll, it's that you don't have a bankroll and you're using cash you should be using for life to play poker
