bad coffee (vent)

so i went with my dad to get some mexican eggs this morning, and naturally i order some coffee, because its breakfast. the coffee cost $1.75. when i get the coffee i add some cream and sugar drink it, and it tastes like crap. i thought to myself what is this folgers or maxwell house? the waitress brings the pot out for a refill at one point and the damn thing says folgers on it. it didnt piss me off that it was folgers, because they serve that shit at a lot of restaurants. what pissed me off is charging $1.75 for a cup of crap. some of you may be saying wow will, its only $1.75, but thats not really the issue. the issue is them charging double what its worth. they should charge no more than a dollar for a folgers cup.

Well they have been trying to jump the starbucks bandwagon with flavors and shit, but most people going to DD just order plain old coffee, and it's so worth it. Although buying ground coffee and brewing it at home doesn't yield the same flavor you get when getting a cup from DD itself.

I would say in fact that DD could stop selling donuts and just sell coffee and would still make money hand over fist.

ldo. everything is marked up more than that. it probably cost them .15 to make that cup, if not less. and mcd's pays way less than .2 for a coke im sure. im saying double what the mark up is worth. most places should sell a shitty cup of coffee in a restaurant for $1 or less. this place charges double of what the mark up should be.
