Interesting fact - according to observation, there are 7% more galaxies rotating in one direction than the other.
Implication - the universe already had angular momentum when it was born. But angular momentum comes from an external torque force.
It's possible that our region of the universe is special, and that if we observed all galaxies in the universe then we'd have a 50-50 split (thus conserving angular momentum), or it's possible that there are external forces outside of what we consider to be our universe.
