What is your opinion on weed and poker? Do you think it has negative or positive effects on the way you play?

    Default Questions for Jcarver

Can you tell us more about you boyfriend, what does he do for a living? Does he play poker? Does he get jealous of you hanging out with Jason and Dan all summer(lol)?

Have you heard back from BMW since there rediculous $400 store credit?

Having watched nearly all you videos I see you call very wide in the blinds, do you do this due to a skill edge or do you have some over reason for this particular trait.

    Thanks for answering

    Hi Jason,

It seems you have won a similar amount online as you have live.

Which format do you prefer? What are the advantages/disadvantages of live and online play?

Jason, If you were to play on Poker After Dark, and it were your birthday so they let you choose your opposition, which other eight would you have at your table?))

Have you ever been staked? If so, did you play any differently than you would have if you hadn't been?

Have you ever staked anyone? If so, how much or little would you be willing to "bet" on someone else's play?

Jason, do you think there is ever a chance to make poker something other than zero-sum game, meaning that what one wins the other has to loose? You think sponsors can get involved enough where, similar to other pro sports, there is something for everyone? Or maybe there are instances of it already happening that you know of?

Can we ask more questions as this thing goes along? Hope so.

    Hi, all!

Hey everyone! Very excited to be here answering your questions, thanks so much for having me. Let's get started

    Default Videos

You mentioned in one of the RIU vids that other videos that were done were more structured, and that making videos the way you do now is more fun. Do you plan on doing more pure instructional videos, like the ones done during your time with PokerVT?

Hi, Jason! thanks for being here!

    Welcome, Jason!

What kind of off-table businesses and work have you been pursuing?
  16. #16
    Great video!!! Nice job!!!

Your youtube videos are great. They give a clear understaning of the not-so-exact answers that are needed. How do you feel about drinking alcohol while playing? TX

    Hey Jason!
Do you think it's possible to start out in poker the way you did (freerolls-> run it up) nowadays?

What separates a world class player from a good player?
  20. #20
Sounds like you are moving away from a table pro into the business area. Is this a true statement? What percentage of time do you plan to devote to live tournaments? You are great on TV!
  21. #21
Jason, how do pick people to stake? Without revealing any secrets, what criteria do you use? Do you generally go with established pros or new talent?

Negreanu and Ivey rock! What does Ivey talk about when he's chatty?

What did that girl do that convinced you to get back at her by buying a car?

Do you and your partner have plans to get married and/or have kids?

If not in the AMA, does this not need to be covered in a future episode of Story Time?

At what point in your career did you feel that learning and understanding more about the psychology of the game would help you to improve the most? And what did you do to work on it?

I watched all of your runitup series so far and looking forward to seeing more so thanks a lot for doing that.

I happen to be "straight," but my mom isn't 100 percent supportive of me, either.

Unfortunately, this incredible AMA has to come to an end and Jason, having spent two and a half hours with us, has to carry on with the rest of his busy schedule. Our deepest thanks to Jason Somerville for sharing his thoughts and experiences with us – this was one heck of an AMA. We shall wish Jason the best in his many endeavors as we forever remain his loyal fans.
