    Default Winter Break Grind

Let me start this off by saying I'm completely psychotic without a doubt and many of you can likely verify that. I've decided to go 50 hours/week for 4 weeks for a total of 200 hours of play until I start classes again in mid-January. My play will be 14-tabling PokerStars 100nl full ring for approximately 875 hands/hour.

I figured up that I'm making just a hair over $17.50/hour in bonus monies with this setup. There are times in my life when I would have killed to be able to make $17.50/hour doing anything, let alone sitting on my ass in front of a computer all day, so I'm going to take advantage of it the best I can while I still can.

Here is a chart I'll use to plot my hourly progress and money results, and every other day or so I'll post a progress report. Also, I'll keep my most recent day of play in bold for easy reading.

On Sunday I ran so bad it was pathetic. Luckily I managed to pimp slap a few fish in my last hour or so at the tables and pull up from -$400 to about -$100.

Sunday night, my girlfriend had a really bad panic attack and ended up hyperventilating and passing out in my bathroom floor around 2 in the morning, so I didn't get very much sleep.

As such, I ended up getting up late and getting her sent on her way so I only squeezed in eight of the nine hours I had planned. That will be easy to make up on Thursday and/or Friday, so I'm not too worried about it. Even though I was really feeling the lack of sleep I still pulled a +10 BI day. Ballllinnnn.

I have about a 3 year old Dell piece of crap with two 17" CRT monitors. I keep tables on one monitor with a fuckton of overlap and everything else on the other.

Stats for the first three days in ptbb:

Also, for the first time ever I had back-to-back $1000 days.

Yesterday (12/18) wasn't bad. I feel like I'm starting to get in a rhythm with my playing and I'm staying more and more focused in the later parts of the day. Also, I feel like I've been running good the past couple of days, but PokerEV tells me that I'm running within $25 of what my AI value should be, and the Flop-A-Set-Ometer tells me that I'm running just slightly good on hitting sets (3 more than I would have on average). However, I still think I've been hitting some nice spots to stack people in. In spite of this, I still think I could run 3 ptbb/100 over the course of winter break, which is going to come to about 175,000 hands.

Finally, here's a fun cooler from yesterday: http://www.pokerhand.org/?1825900

Today (12/19) was a total clusterfuck. I ran really bad but managed to keep my losses under one buy-in. I'll post some really really really downright hilarious hands later.

My play was cut short because I had to take my mom to the hospital over some shit. Thankfully she's fine, but it sort of fucks my 50 hour week plans. That's alright, I'll just keep to the schedule the best I can and be happy with that.

    A 50 hour week 14-tabling 100nl full ring comes to a little over 58,000 FPPs/week.

I promised I'd post some funny hands. A couple of these are beats (if you can call it that) but they're fun anyway.

http://www.pokerhand.org/?1829496 - on this hand i had multiple notes that this guy would 2- and 3-barrel with atc, one particular note was very similar to how this hand played; pwnage

Thanks man. I'm kind of thinking 50 hours/week might have been a barely unrealistic goal b/c I actually have something resembling a social life occasionally, plus Christmas and New Years and whatnot. I'm still going to aim for 50, but I'll be content with 40-45.

I don't like how passively weak you played this... Flop call is fine to keep the others in, but why no raise on the turn?? His bet is too much weak sauce, and you need to build the pot for a reasonable river shove. Losing your stack was inevitable here yes, but why wait till the river to build the pot? And on top of that CHECKING the river?? That loses a LOT of value here against a naked 7? You must have a VERY trustworthy read on villian there...and even then...

Sorry, I don't mean to sound harsh... The way you played this hand just struck a chord with me for some reason.
    Hey knucklehead! Bonk!

Yeah the plan was to c/c the turn and donk the river since I figured I'd get at least one other overcall on the turn because of the flop action. I think not getting an overcall on the turn fucked me up for the river when the third club came or something because I was totally expecting it. Leading the river is obv better against most villains.

12/20 - I was cruising along up about 1.5 BI until the last 10 minutes of my three hour session in which I got raped twice to drop me to breakeven for the day.

12/21 - Not going to play. My mom had surgery today and I've had to drive her around and other shit, and now I'm about to go Christmas shopping. Easily going to get in 8-9 hours tomorrow though which will clear a 40 hour week without much problem.

12/22 - Went Christmas shopping my one and only time for this year, so didn't get to play quite as much as I wanted. However, I had a pretty balla ass week, and I hope to keep it up as much as possible next week with Christmas and all.

12/23 - Played a bit. I got my N64 emulator working again so that won over instead of an evening session. Also I've got to finish some shopping and blah blah.

So I'm 3.79 ptbb/100 over 37047 hands since I started this thread. PokerEV tells me I'm running slightly hot, and should only be about 3.2 ptbb/100. However, Setometer tells me that I suck at set under/over sets and overpairs vs sets (and vice versa) so I think I'm doing alright.

If you'd like to see my Poker Tracker, PokerEV and Setometer stats, check out this thread http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...pt-t64747.html

12/26 - I have errands to run so I've only got in about 4 and a half hours, but if I get back early I'll play some more.

So I totally underestimated how much non-poker crap I would end up doing over my break, but my "free time" consists mostly of playing still, which I'm proud of.

I might not update this thread much anymore since 2008 is starting and I'm going to try for $100k in 08, but thanks for everyone's support.

Could you take a quick screenshot of the two screens cuz I really wanna see how your layout looks with 14 tables. Also, what scripts are you running?
