 String Theory & Poker
In the last few decades, string theory has emerged as the most promising candidate for a microscopic theory that attempts to provide a complete, unified, and consistent description of the fundamental structure of our universe, often referred to as a, ‘Cosmic Theory of Everything'.
There are times in the game when from middle position, your 9cTc, though weak, you feel is a must play. The poker gods limp 5 players to the flop where you’re starring at the King high straight flush.
Just like when the flop hits Tc2h3c giving you trip tens but your stomach is screaming caution and you just know its going to get ugly only to have the short stack hit her flush on the river.
I believe there is a cosmic force involved in all things, giving us our, “Gut Feeling”, perceivable while playing the above hands in our beloved game of Poker.
It is my opinion this is why when we play on sites that continuously shuffle the remaining cards in the deck while in the process of a hand, it is impossible for your gut to get a reliable “cosmic read” on what will play out in that hand. The reason for this is because the future is always changing. This is why such an unproportionally high number of players know the sites that do this as donk-a-thons.
I understand the need to prevent those inclined from hacking a game. I just wish there was provided a front-ware option to play a game without the continuous shuffle.
Traditional Shuffle or Continuous Shuffle?
Although this would create issues with the fact that they all use binary pseudo random shuffle as opposed to a true random shuffle, but thats a subject for another day.
