So the 10nl experiment has officially begun and what a wild ride it was today! From the highs to the lows, it was certainly interesting. My first session ended with me up just .75 but my second session was up and down. At one point due to my own spew, I was down a record (for me) $13.57. It was mostly due to one player who was just owning me.
I kept trying to bluff him out of pots and he couldn't be bluffed if he hit any part of it. It was my own stupidity. I turned it around with this hand:
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
MP ($10.85)
CO ($18.05)
Hero (Button) ($10)
SB ($10.25)
BB ($10)
UTG ($9.90)
Preflop: Hero is Button with 5 , 5
2 folds, CO calls $0.10, Hero calls $0.10, 1 fold, BB checks
Flop: ($0.35) 4 , 8 , 6 (3 players)
BB checks, CO checks, Hero checks
Turn: ($0.35) 5 (3 players)
BB bets $0.40, CO calls $0.40, Hero calls $0.40
River: ($1.55) 6 (3 players)
BB bets $1, 1 fold, Hero raises to $9.50 (All-In), BB calls $8.50 (All-In)
Total pot: $20.55 | Rake: $1
Results:
Hero had 5 , 5 (full house, fives over sixes).
BB had K , 7 (straight, eight high).
Outcome: Hero won $19.55
I knew I was behind on the turn when I hit my trips, but I also knew that my implied odds were fantastic. If I could get the boat, I could stack one, maybe two players. I overbet all-in because I knew he wouldn't be able to fold the 7 and he would have called any lesser bet I'm sure without re-raising. This was all made possible by my chip re-buy to $10 from $5.50. I normally don't rebuy but I was so sure I could stack one of them that I wanted to keep my stack at the max.
My last session of the day was just awesome. Here were my two huge hands.

I kept thinking that he had a set, but I couldn't let my hand go. This is the second hand for the villain at the table so absolutely no reads. I breathed a sigh of relief when he turned over JJ there.
Last hand was obviously easy, but I still had to fade a 10 on the river.
