Even though I'm on a positive run, I want to post something negative about the past.
About a week ago I decided to try out multi-tabling 50nl. Most sources I've read (and hell I read everything) say that it's not really much different from 25nl, just double the money. Well...I got about 10k hands in or so, and they were not pretty. The thing was, I lost on a couple of those "bad beats", and I hate using those words because I honestly don't think set over set is a true bad beat, but that's not the point...I felt it start to affect me, seriously. That's stupid sounding, I know, but I could drop a buyin at 25nl and not blink an eye, but when the same thing happened at 50, I was like oh wow, .....oh wow. And I felt it, the evil presence lingering on my back, creeping over my shoulder, fighting its way into every pore of my body. Yeah, tilt came flying out and hit me square in the face. It's AWFUL! But I learned something very positive from the whole situation...I'm not ready for the next step. Man that sounds so lame. But it's the definite truth. So I stepped down to 25nl, my home, and have been grinding well ever since.
Current Bankroll: $745.00
A new month's getting ready to start, and I would like to double my roll by the end of this month. I don't think I'm going to move up (or try again, anyway) to 50nl until I get to $2000. That seems way overrolled, doesn't it?
I am still fine tuning my game, but I think at this point it is very well refined.
