For some reason it wouldn't let me log in yesterday, and I really wanted to write out about an excellent session, and some other thoughts I was having. Was browsing FTR a bit on topics discussing the jump from 25 to 50 nl. Friends and neighbors, I think the day is arriving a bit quicker than I thought.
I've tweaked my game up some over the past few days, and yesterday I had the day off work and put in an exceptionally long session. After some good ring playing and finishing 2nd in a $6 SNG (man I need some work heads up, he was up by about 8x chips, but still...)
I decided for the first time in my short career to sit down at a few 50nl tables and see what all the hubbub was about. Hmm... blinds are a bit more and people have a lot more money than I'm used to, but other than that, nothing on the surface appeared different. In the few hands I played I didn't really notice anything different, except the one reraise I made preflop was folded to by the initial raiser. A bit more cognizant, perhaps? I ended up ahead for the 50nl session, closed the tables and went back to 25nl, my stomping ground..confident this game is in the palm of my hand.
I'm pretty much brimming with confidence at this point. Considering writing up my take on how to "beat" 25nl.
I still haven't purchased Poker Tracker... need to do that.
