Oskar hates bonus systems
So I've been away from poker for over a year. Right on time for my birthday Full Tilt re-opens.
Turns out I had $35 left on there, as well as two $26 tournament tickets and 78.000 ftp's
In addition my black card status from two years ago has been carried over and I am currently in the highest bonus/rakeback level that FTP offers... with a 2NL bankroll.
To make matters worse I have two bonus offers that expire Nov. 2nd. A $500 bonus (500ftp increments) and a $200 bonus (25ftp increments) that comes with a 7-day constant happy-hour which means I get double ftp's which should allow me to clear it faster.
I assume that these bonuses will expire and not re-appear so I should probably take them no matter what.
So right now I'm looking for a strategy that allows me to get the most out of what I have there while staying within my current skill level... which shouldn't be too amazing considering how long I've been away from poker.
As I see it I can:
A: cash in my FPPs, have 30 BI's for 10NL and start grinding the $200 bonus and see how much of that I can clear.
B: take shots with my tournament tickets -> grind whatever I end up being rolled for. - maybe buy 15 tournament tickets for fpp's - $390 value compared to $250 if I go for the cash. - could grind 45 mans and hope to get lucky.
C: Be a conservative bitch and just grind it out from 2NL while taking the $200 bonus but being content with just clearing a couple of dollars from that. - I would keep the ftp's to cash them in at a later date for their full value.
Then there are also ring-game tickets which are easily the most convoluted bonus ever conceived. They would return $325 on my fpp's but I don't understand them. They might be really bad.
First update:
Starting roll: $35
Stake: 2NL
2500 hands, 4h, + $25
Current roll: $60
Super awesome grind music FTW!
